Thailand attracts hundreds of native English teachers every month but a large majority finds it difficult to adjust to a different work environment where they are unaware of what is expected of them. TEFL International along with Innovative Solutions realized the need for orientation in order to make the transition from one culture to another easier and smoother. The Thai Culture program for 40 TESOL trained teachers was highly appreciated by all. Two eminent personalities Ajarn Gayoon D. – Head of English Program at Benchamatheputit School, a Government School and Mr Tanachit K. – School manager at Kasintorn Academy, a well known private school chain conducted the program. They helped the foreign teachers understand what was expected of them in both private and public schools apart from their job as English teachers. Every aspect of school life including attire, social events, morning duties, leave and pay were discussed in great details and all questions that the teachers had were also addressed. This certainly helped the teachers to join their new working environment with a positive mind and attitude.
